The Munti Gallery
The Munti Gallery is the result of 15 years of working with families and children, combined with a research project that began in 2020. Our initial question was simple: What makes children and families visit art museums? Our first discovery was even simpler—most don’t!

To understand why, we traveled to London, Copenhagen, Oslo, and Stockholm, visiting various art museums to test and experience how children are welcomed and engaged.

In collaboration with the Research Council of Norway and art museums in Trøndelag, we developed the Munti Gallery. This space allows children to interact with artworks—to build, play, and create their own pieces.

In the winter of 2025, Trondheim will host the Nordic World Ski Championships! Six artists have been selected to create the official awards for the athletes. With Munti Gallery, children will have the opportunity to build and play with elements from these artworks.
